Visit the Saunajurt in Kirkenes

As part of the official opening weekend of Horisontti, Kirkenes Badstuforening invites you to a sauna excursion to the south of Varangerfjorden, to our sauna yurt. The yurt is located by Førstevatn, visible from the roundabout by Handelsparken and Gamle Turisten.

There is a possibility for a communal sauna and swimming in a hole in the ice on Sunday 1 February from 10:00-11:30 or 11:30-13:00.

Remember to bring: 1) two towels; one for swimming, and one to sit on in the sauna 2) Swimwear 3) Drinking bottle with water 4) Slippers
A sauna attendant from the association will be present.
Staying in the sauna and swimming is at your own risk.
If you are going to ice bathe, we recommend mittens, wool socks and something to carry around to and from the sauna.
Changing rooms available.
No shower and toilet facilities.
